BHAVI 2024 Prizes
Awards to be announced in early 2025 for work done in the BHAVI 2024 Program.
- K. G. Mann Prize
- The Mann Prize honors the generous and caring mentorship of Kenneth G. Mann, his teaching of integrity and quality in research, and of humility and respect when interacting and collaborating with others. The 2024 Mann Prize may be awarded at the end of the BHAVI 2024 Program in the amount of $2500 to the student who best contributes to the mission of Brain Health Alliance.
- Siegler Sisters Prize
- The Siegler Sisters Prize commemorates the commitment and creative contributions to the arts and sciences of the Siegler Sisters, Naomi Siegler Savage (1927 - 2005) and Elaine Siegler Taswell (1928 - 2003). The 2024 Siegler Sisters Prize may be awarded at the end of the BHAVI 2024 Program in the amount of $2500 to the student who best completes a comprehensive tech report that extends an abstract or poster submitted for publication at a research conference.
- G. H. Golub Prize
- The Golub Prize commemorates the innovative leadership of Gene H. Golub (1932 - 2007) in the fields of scientific computing and computational mathematics, his lifelong collaborations with colleagues and students, and his support for the art and science of software engineering. The 2024 Golub Prize may be awarded at the end of the BHAVI 2024 Program in the amount of $2500 to the student who best completes a comprehensive tech report that describes and demonstrates operational software accompanied by readable source code.
- J. B. Keller Prize
- The Keller Prize commemorates the playful curiosity and imaginative problem solving of Joseph B. Keller (1923 - 2016) in the fields of scientific computing and computational mathematics, his lifelong collaborations with colleagues and students, and his support for the art and science of applied mathematics. The 2024 Keller Prize may be awarded at the end of the BHAVI 2024 Program in an amount up to $10,000 with 3 monthly stipends of $3333 as a career transition award to the student who best demonstrates creative solutions to problems with imagination and ingenuity.
